To show the catalog and download a model, ChatonLM connects to Hugging Face: that’s the only time ModelHub goes online. No account is required, and your machine is examined locally: nothing ModelHub learns about your graphics card or memory is sent anywhere.

Where do the models come from?
From Hugging Face, the largest library of open models. ModelHub shows its compatible models and installs them in Ollama, the engine included in ChatonLM.
How do I know whether a model will run on my machine?
ModelHub compares the size of each version with your graphics card and memory, then shows the result on a label. The “Fits my machine” filter keeps only the ones that fit.
Do I need a Hugging Face account?
No. ChatonLM doesn’t ask for any account to browse the catalog or to download.
Are the models free?
Yes: they’re open models, free to download. Each has its own license, shown on its model card; a filter keeps only open licenses.
Where are the models stored?
On your computer, in Ollama’s folder. You can choose another folder in the settings, for example on a bigger drive.
