An online proofreader reads everything you hand it: letters, reports, messages. Here, the proofreading is done by a model installed on your computer, and your texts never leave it. One exception, which is yours to decide: an Ollama server you may have set up on another machine.

Does proofreading work without the internet?
Yes, once the model is downloaded. The text is checked on your computer.
In which languages?
In the languages the chosen model knows: English, French and Spanish with most models, and many more with the largest ones.
What’s the difference between correcting and rephrasing?
Correcting fixes spelling, grammar and punctuation, without touching your sentences. Rephrasing also rewrites awkward wording, while keeping the meaning.
Does the shortcut replace my text on its own?
No. It corrects the selection and copies the result to the clipboard: you paste over it with Ctrl+V. You stay in control.
